Somnath Express Accident: Two coaches of the Somnath Express have derailed in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur. The train was approaching a stop and hence, the damage was minimal. No casualty was reported.
Jabalpur Train Accident: Two coaches of the Somnath Express derailed in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur early on Saturday. The accident, which occurred at 5.50 AM, happened around 150 metres from the station. Indore-Jabalpur express train (No: 22191) derailed at nearly "dead stop speed".

No casualty has been reported in the incident so far.
Harshit Shrivastava, CPRO, West Central Railway said, "The train was coming from Indore. As it approached Jabalpur Railway Station's platform number 6, two coaches in the front derailed. The incident happened around 100-150 metres from the end of the Jabalpur station platform. All passengers are safe. The incident took place around 5.50 AM."

Jabalpur Train Derailment Comes Within A Month Of Sabarmati Express Accident
The Jabalpur train accident came within a month of the Sabarmati Express derailment in Uttar Pradesh. On August 17, which was also a Saturday, 20 coaches of the Ahmedabad-Varanasi Sabarmati Express derailed near Kanpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred allegedly due to a boulder being deliberately placed on the tracks.

Jamshedpur Train Accident
On July 30, 18 rakes of the Howrah–Mumbai CSMT Mail derailed near Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. The accident claimed two lives and injured 20 people.
