Lady Don Zoya Arrested With 225g Of Heroin Worth Rs 1 Crore In Delhi
Delhi Police arrested Zoya, the wife of jailed gangster Hashim Baba, for alleged heroin peddling. Zoya was arrested with 225 grams of heroin in her possession during a sting operation.

In the latest development, jailed gangster Hashim Baba’s wife has been arrested over charges of drug peddling by the Delhi Police Special Cell, officials said on Wednesday.
As per the details, Zoya (33) was arrested from Delhi’s Welcome area. She was found with around 225 grams of heroin, worth Rs 1 crore, and was arrested when she was going to deliver it, The Indian Express reported.
After receiving an input that she was induged in drug peddling, the police worked on this lead and acted accordingly to nab her red-handed by laying a trap. “Police received information that she was indulging in drug peddling and acting on this input, police gathered evidence against her", a police officer said.
"However, on Wednesday morning, police received information that she was going to deliver the consignment to someone in her car. A trap was laid and she was arrested red-handed from the spot along with 225 grams of heroin," a senior police officer said, as reported by Indian Express.
Last year, Hashim Baba was arrested from Tihar jail in connection with the murder of a gym owner, Nadir Shah, in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash. Hashim's real name is Ashim. He was born in Gokulpuri in 1982. His father used to work in a factory making ladies slippers and purses. He studied till class 8 and after that he started working with his father. He used to sell ladies slippers and purses on the roadside in Mustafabad area.
It is believed that Hashim Baba formed an alliance with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, an accused in the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala, inside Tihar jail. His name also cropped up in the 2016 shooting inside the Karkardooma court leading to the death of a Delhi Police constable. Hashim's first brush with the law was in 2007 when he was caught with an illegal firearm in the IP Estates area.
