She was hiding at paying guest accommodation in Kota for the past four months, said a second officer. Since she was 19 years old and looked like a student it was easy for her to hide and nobody suspected anything since there were hundreds of students there, the officer said.
On Thursday, police received a tip that Dhankar was spotted travelling in a bus from Kota from where she reached Lucknow and further went to Lakhimpur Kheri. We were told that she was nearing the Indo-Nepal border. A team immediately went there and caught her near the border,” said DCP Kaushik.
Dhankar came on the police radar after a firing incident in Sonipat in January. After the incident, she fled from Rohtak and shifted to Delhi, according to police.
