Boat Carrying 60 People Capsizes In Ganga In UP's Varanasi, All Passengers Rescued
As many as 60 passengers were onboard the boat which capsized in the Ganga after colliding with another boat in Varanasi. All the passengers are safe and were rescued by an NDRF team.

A boat carrying 60 passengers capsized on Friday in the Ganga river in Varansi, Uttar Pradesh. All the passengers were rescued after the accident.
The incident took place near Man Mandir Ghat in Varanasi when a large boat collided witha smaller one in the river.
Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and water police arrived at the site and rescued everyone. According to the officials, all passengers were safe as they were wearing life jackets, India Today reported.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident.
In a separate incident, three people were killed and four others went missing after a boat capsized in Ganga in Katihar, Bihar. The incident took place on January 19 this year. The boat had 17 people on board and capsized near Golaghat in the Amdabad area in the district.
Two of the victims were identified as 60-year-old Pawan Kumar and a Sudhir Mandal aged 70. The other victim, who could not be identified at that time, was later found out to be a three-year-old child, PTI reported.
At least 10 people were rescued after the incident. Most of the people managed to swim to the bank, news agency PTI reported citing police officials.
"The rescue operation is still underway for the four missing persons. An investigation has been ordered to find the cause of the incident," District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena told PTI.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed condolences and announced Rs 4 lakh compensation for the kin of the deceased.
