'60,000 Murders, 25,000 Rapes': Tejashwi Yadav Says Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s Govt Has 'Failed'

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav blamed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the declining law and order situation and said that the government has failed.

Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar accusing him of failing to maintain law and order. Yadav said that the Bihar government has failed and nobody feels safe in this state.

This follows ASI Santosh Kumar Singh's death in Munger, sparking political tension as the Opposition blames CM Nitish Kumar for Bihar's law and order decline.

At a press conference outside the Bihar Assembly, he claimed Bihar is deteriorating under Nitish Kumar's leadership. The RJD leader said that the chief minister should have given an account of the past 20 years.

"60,000 murders have occurred, 25,000 rapes have taken place, and the highest number of police killings and assaults happened during their rule. Nitish Kumar must answer for this. Today, no one feels safe. Everyone feels insecure, and you will see that even in Nalanda, the Chief Minister's home district, he has not said a word about the victimised women.”

Ready To Cast The Blame On Lalu Yadav

The Chief Minister will shift the blame to Lalu Yadav for incidents in Bihar that have occurred in these years. Rather than addressing the declining law and order situation, the government continues to hold Lalu Yadav’s 15-year tenure responsible. The administration seems more focused on shielding criminals than ensuring effective governance, exposing its failure to maintain control.

ASI Santosh Kumar Singh, who sustained critical injuries during a scuffle with villagers in Munger. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident took place Nandlalpur village after 'DIAL 112' team had been dispatched following reports of a man named Ranveer Kumar causing a ruckus in a drunken state.

Led by ASI Santosh Kumar Singh, the police team attempted to intervene. However, Ranveer, Guddu, and their family members attacked the officers with sharp-edged weapons, inflicting serious skull injuries on Singh
