UP BJP Leader Killed As 'Unknown Assailants Inject Him With Poison' At Sambhal Home

BJP leader Gulfam Yadav's Death: Three unknown youths entered the house of the leader under the pretext of wanting to talk to him in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh.

BJP leader Gulfam Yadav was killed after unknown assailants entered his home and injected him with a poisonous substance in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. The incident occurred around 1:30 pm in the Dabthara village of the Junawai police station area of ​​the Sambhal.

Yadav, who lives in Dabthara, was home when three unknown bike-borne youths paid a visit under the pretext of meeting the leader. They sat with him, inquired about his well-being, and asked for water, which they drank, according to a Hindustan Times report. After Yadav gave them water and he went to lie down, the assailants seized the opportunity, and one of them injected poison into Yadav's stomach.

When the poison began working, his health began to deteriorate, and he started screaming. This alerted his family members, who found him writhing in pain and rushed him to a hospital.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene, and Gulfam was immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. However, due to his critical condition, he was referred to Aligarh Medical College. The BJP leader had died on the way.

Investigation Begins 

Superintendent of Police (SP) Krishna Kumar Bishnoi stated that the police had received information about a person being forcibly injected with poison, which led to his death.

According to the Hindustan Times (HT), SP Bishnoi and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anukriti Sharma, along with a police team, arrived at the scene. Forensic teams collected evidence from the site, including an empty injection and a helmet.

The police are looking through nearby CCTV footage. The individuals responsible for the incident will be arrested soon, and appropriate action will be taken, the police said. However, the cause of death remained unclear following the post-mortem examination conducted at Aligarh Medical College, according to HT. The official said that they have preserved Yadav's major organs of his body for detailed analysis.
