Bengaluru: History-Sheeter Who Stripped & Paraded A Man Arrested After Being Shot In Leg
History-Sheeter Pawan Gowda had reportedly recorded a video of the incident that showed the victim, Nagarjuna, running naked on the road.
The Bengaluru police have arrested a notorious history-sheeter, Pawan Gowda, also known as Kadubu, for allegedly assaulting a man and forcing him to strip in public. The arrest followed a dramatic confrontation in which police shot Gowda in the leg to subdue him.
Recently, Pawan Gowda, originally from Tumakuru, assaulted the victim and reportedly told him to flee the place leaving his clothes behind. When he refused to strip, Pawan reportedly threatened the victim to run naked if he want be alive. The former also allegedly punched the latter on his nose.
He had reportedly recorded a video of the incident that showed the victim, Nagarjuna, running naked on the road. Authorities suggest the assault stemmed from a gang rivalry. The Kamakshipalya police, acting on a tip-off, tracked down Gowda to a secluded area near Ullal, close to Kengeri.

As officers moved in to arrest him, Gowda allegedly threatened the team with a sharp weapon. Despite repeated warnings and instructions to surrender, he refused to comply. Head constable Venkatesh attempted to charge at Gowda, but the suspect attacked, injuring the officer's hand.
In response, a policeman fired a warning shot into the air, but Gowda ignored the caution. When he continued to pose a threat, police were forced to shoot him in the leg to prevent further escalation. Following this, they successfully detained him.
Meanwhile, a history sheeter was killed in an encounter by police at Vyasarpadi on Wednesday. The history sheeter Kakka Thoppu Balaji was wanted in more than 50 criminal cases.
