'Astana Day' celebrated in Delhi

New Delhi [India], July 4 (ANI): On the occasion of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana, representatives of the governmental, parliamentary, business and public circles of India along with the media participated in the festive event held in New Delhi on July 3, 2018.

Kazakhstan Ambassador to India Bulat Sarssenbayev spoke about the main stages of the formation of Astana, noted its importance in the development of whole Kazakhstan, and also highlighted the great contribution of the Kazakh capital in strengthening international peace and security.

Amongst those present in the event were Ambassador of India to Kazakhstan Prabhat Kumar and former Indian Envoy to Kazakhstan Ashok Sajjanhar.

Guests shared warm memories of their stay in Kazakhstan and impressions of the pace of development of the capital - Astana.

The evening was greeted by folk-ethnic ensemble "Nurorda" of the Kazakh National University of Arts with joy and enjoyed the soulful sound of Kazakh national instruments such as dombyra, kobyz, ancient Kazakh wind instrument saz syrnay, percussion instrument dabyl. (ANI)
