Thar Roxx Is The First Body On Frame To Get A 5 Star Rating In BNCAP

The recently launched Mahindra Thar Roxx has got a 5 star safety rating in the latest round of BNCAP crash tests. The Thar Roxx ROXX is the first body-on-frame SUV to get a 5-star Bharat-NCAP rating, while Mahindra says that it also has the highest overall score by any ICE vehicle in Bharat-NCAP testing. In terms of the scores, the ROXX got a 31.09/32 in adult occupant protection (AOP) and 45/49 in child occupant protection (COP).
For a typical ladder frame SUV to get 5 stars is a big thing. In terms of safety, the Thar Roxx comes with features such as six airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Seatbelt Reminder (SBR) as standard across all variants. More safety features include Level 2 ADAS features, such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and a 360-degree surround view system with Blind View Monitor. It also has an Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and Brake Locking Differential (BLD).

Mahindra also sent it's other cars for the BNCAP tests including the XUV 3XO and the XUV400 where they also have scored full 5 stars. The XUV 3XO scored 29.36/32 in adult occupant protection (AOP) and 43/49 in child occupant protection (COP) while the XUV400 got 30.377/32 for AOP and 43/49 for COP.
