Mahindra's Electric Push: XEV 9e And BE 6e Ready To Take On Curvv EV, eVX
Called XEV 9e and the BE 6e, these two are coupe Mahindra's SUVs aimed at the premium compact SUV EV segment
Mahindra till now has had the XUV400 EV which was based on the XUV300 but now it will introduce two new EVs and two new brands as well. On 26th November, Mahindra will introduce the XE and the BE brand which are based on the INGLO EV architecture. Called XEV 9e and the BE 6e, these two are coupe SUVs aimed at the premium compact SUV EV segment.
Both look similar to their concept avatars and retain their aggressive designs with the BE 6e being smaller than the flagship XEV 9e, which is an electric coupe SUV avatar of the XUV700.
Underneath both are different and do not share anything with their internal combustion engine siblings. Both cars are expected to have large battery packs while the smaller BE looks more radical but the XEV also looks different from the XUV700.

The INGLO powertrain can have a single as well as a dual motor layout while the interior will have a minimalistic design layout with twin screens having many functions. We can expect the BE to get a single as well as a dual motor specification too while it remains to be seen what are the specs of the XEV 9e.
These two EVs will compete with the likes of the Tata Curvv EV and upcoming EVs such as the Hyundai Creta EV and the Maruti eVX- all of which are coming in the premium compact SUV space. For Mahindra, the highlights here include the striking design which is similar to a concept car. More details would be revealed closer to its unveiling on the 26th of this month in Chennai.
