Ola Electric Car Won't Have Rear-View Mirrors. Here Is Why

Ola electric car will have an aerodynamic shape, which is important for EVs to get more range.

Ola has revealed more details about its electric car that is expected to come by 2024 at the earliest. The first electric car from Ola will be a premium sedan with a futuristic styling theme as seen here. The design is neat with details like an LED strip which runs across the entire width of the car to narrow headlamps. It will have an aerodynamic shape, which is important for EVs to get more range.

Ola Electric also claimed the EV will have one of the longest range, with the ability to travel around 500 km before needing to be plugged in, and a 0-100 kmph time of less than four seconds. That is quite fast.

Other unique design details include the fact that there will be no conventional door mirrors. Instead, there will be cameras that are more aerodynamic.

The interior also shows a futuristic vibe with a two-spoke steering wheel and a large hexagonal touchscreen with most of the features built-in. There is obviously a fully digital instrument cluster and premium features like ambient lighting. We also expect to see a full glass roof.

Unlike its scooter, the first Ola car would be a premium electric sedan and at the moment, there are no other electric sedans at the expected segment. Mostly there are electric crossovers and SUVs at this segment hence, Ola would be looking to make a sizable entry in terms of capturing the EV segment- like it has for the scooter space.

Ola electric is expected to bring not just one car but many cars while it first would be tapping into the premium space. On the basis of the teaser, it could be a mix of a sedan and a crossover while the interior with its simple lay-out is very futuristic. We are indeed interested to check out more regarding this EV.
