New Ola Electric Car To Be A Sedan? All You Need To Know

The sedan looks to be a premium sedan in the midsize space and would be revealed with a large battery.

Ola's CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has recently tweeted what could be a blurred image of the render of a new car that is being designed. CEO Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted an image and it shows a sedan being designed and it could be the second car launch from Ola electric. Earlier an image of a hatchback was shown and it was a render of a new hatchback.

We assume the first car to be the said hatchback at an affordable price range while other products like the sedan will follow. The sedan looks to be a premium sedan in the midsize space and would be revealed with a large battery.

As seen with the Ola S1 electric scooter, the cars would have a large battery pack which would further mean leading acceleration times and range. Alongside the sedan, there would be other body styles including an SUV as well. Exact details are not known but the first Ola electric car would have the largest battery pack within an affordable price point which gives an advantage of range.

Currently the Nexon EV Max and the MG ZS EV are the most affordable options with the largest battery pack within the 25 lakh range. While an electric scooter is one thing, making and selling an electric car is much more difficult but the S1 came to the market quite early and the Ola electric car will also be scheduled to come earlier than expected within the end of next year.

In the scooter segment, the S1 has received  a lot of hype and has raced past others in the sales charts but in the business of cars, competition is already and by that time, many new affordable EVs from established car-makers will flood the market. It is interesting to see how the first Ola electric car pans out.
