New Hyundai Creta Facelift Not Coming To India Anytime Soon, Launch Likely Pushed To Next Year

Despite the competition, the current Creta is easily the best-selling SUV in its class while the current chip shortage has only extended the waiting period for Creta buyers.

New Delhi: News of a Hyundai Creta facelift is out but the same will not be coming to India very soon at the very least. The Creta is already doing very well and is sitting on an 8-month waiting list with massive demand.

At the moment, the new Creta will take some time to come. Also, the new Creta would not be a massive change from the current one but it will have a new face. The styling is influenced by the new generation Tucson and gets a different look from the current Creta.

The side view stays the same along with the rear styling. We guess the front-end styling has been changed due to the global Hyundai look which is being given to SUVs. Alongside the new grille/headlamps, the front bumper is also new with bigger fog lam enclosures. We can see new alloy wheels as well.

Inside, the D-cut steering wheel is retained alongside all of the features seen on the current Creta which means do not expect big changes here.

However, Hyundai can throw in some updates/changes to the equipment list of the Creta. There would be no changes to the engines with a 1.5l petrol and a 1.4l turbo unit alongside a 1.5l diesel with CVT/DCT/TC gearbox options.

Hyundai will most probably position it as one of its launches for the end of next year and now, especially with the massive order bank on the current model. Despite the competition, the current Creta is easily the best-selling SUV in its class while the current chip shortage has only extended the waiting period for Creta buyers.

The current generation Creta has been a huge success from day one and we think Hyundai will not be in a hurry to change it despite new competition.
