2022 Maruti Alto K10 First Look Review: More Affordable Than Celerio?
We expect a small price rise, the new Alto K10 looks to be better value now and would be more affordable than the Celerio.
New Delhi: The Alto was once a basic affordable car but the K10 has been known as the faster version with a bigger engine while the 800cc engine is for the standard Alto. The new generation Alto has now been leaked and replaces the earlier generation model being positioned below the Celerio or along with it.
These images give a first look of what to expect and here, the new Alto looks bigger and gets less of a boxy look when compared to the current K10. It is rounder and follows the design of the new Celerio but with certain changes. The front gets a bigger lower grille and the larger headlamps enable it to make it look bigger too. The Heartect platform which is also used in other Maruti cars enables the new Alto to gain in terms of a longer wheelbase and better safety. The new Alto also gets the same door handles as the Celerio but the rear taillamps get a boxier look. Steel wheels would be standard but alloys would be optional along with many colour options.
The interior is also a huge change in the quality and looks more modern when compared to the current Alto. Quality has been improved by the looks of things but when we get to have a proper look at it, we will be able to give a better judgement. Some clear similarities with Celerio are also seen with the same design of the air vents and the touchscreen while it also gets centre-placed window switches. Even the driver display seems similar.

However, unlike the Celerio, there are no steering controls or a rear camera with only rear parking sensors being there.
One can also see the manual adjustment for the mirrors while expecting smartphone connectivity, dual airbags and ABS.
The engine would be the new Dualjet 1.0l with manual and AMT options while the power output is 69 bhp. Expect a CNG option too.
While we expect a small price rise, the new Alto K10 looks to be better value now and would be more affordable than the Celerio.
