Honda City Sport Is A Mild Cosmetic Makeover For The Sedan

The engine though remains the same with the City Sport and there are no mechanical changes here at all to go with these changes

The Honda City has been around for a while and now this sedan gets a mild cosmetic makeover with the City Sport edition. The City Sport edition gets various blacked out bits and is available as a mid spec variant with some extra touches. The City Sport for one gets three colour combinations and has black highlights including the grille, spoiler, wheels and the ORVMs. These contrast design elements adds a sportier look when paired with the colours including Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl plus Meteoroid Gray Metallic. The interiors also have seen a change with the inclusion of leatherette upholstery and with contrast red highlights. This interior is similar to the recently launched Elevate Black edition and here too in the City Sport, there is another feature added which is a 7 colour ambient lighting package. 

 

The engine though remains the same with the City Sport and there are no mechanical changes here at all to go with these changes. Hence, the 121 bhp 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine continues here too while the City Sport has a standard CVT automatic and not a manual gearbox. The City Sport is priced at Rs 14.8 lakh and it misses out on a few features seen on the top-end City variants. In terms of its price rise over the earlier variant in the line-up it is around Rs 50,000. It continues to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus plus the Skoda Slavia.
