Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025: Tata Sierra To Rival Creta And Roxx?
This is the petrol version of the Sierra and it shows how Tata plans to enter the compact SUV space with this car.

Auto Expo 2025: One of the largest attractions in terms of new cars this Auto Expo has been the Sierra but this time it was not an EV but a petrol model. This is the petrol version of the Sierra and it shows how Tata plans to enter the compact SUV space with this car. The Sierra will launch this year and will come with numerous engine options including a petrol too.
Tata Sierra Vs Creta And Roxx
The petrol engine in question is a 1.5l turbo unit which will help compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the Mahindra Thar Roxx within the 5seater SUV space. The Sierra is more of a Creta rival with a length of around 4.3 m but it looks big as well as boxy with the raised roofline.

The tall and imposing look will go down well for Tata Motors as with the Sierra will go against not just the Creta from Hyundai but also the Thar Roxx in terms of being a muscular SUV. The Sierra would be feature packed too with three screens, a panoramic sunroof and a lot more.
Space wise it would be a 5 seater like the other two SUVs but also could have a lounge like rear seat. Powertrain is interesting as along with the 1.5l turbo petrol, the Sierra will come with a 2.0l diesel too while there would be an electric version of course.
The electric Sierra will have AWD too. Hence, the Sierra would be the rival for the compact SUV segment while being slotted above the Curvv but below the Harrier in terms of size.
