Japan: Remdesivir approved for Coronavirus treatment
The development of Remdesivir had started in 2009 and was used for Ebola patients during the 2000s. The medication was recently given a fast-track approval in Japan for the treatment of Coronavirus patients. Gilead Sciences company that produces Remdesivir, had applied for the approval of this drug only three days ago.
The US is also planning to begin treating seriously ill COVID-19 patients with Remdesivir.
