SOLAR ECLIPSE: India Will Not Witness Today’s Ring of Fire Eclipse

Although this solar eclipse is not visible in India and therefore the traditional Sutak period will not apply, the debate over its impact continues. During a televised discussion, astrologers argued that every natural event creates an effect — “every action has a reaction.” According to them, eclipses influence nature and even subtle living beings. They claimed that ancient Indian scriptures had already studied and documented eclipses thousands of years ago, long before modern science began systematic research around 400 years ago. References were made to classical texts and traditional astronomical calculations as proof of India’s deep-rooted knowledge. On the other hand, rationalists and scientists on the panel stated that science is based on observation and prediction. They emphasized that eclipses are purely astronomical events with no proven effect on human life. According to them, civilizations such as Egypt and Greece also independently studied celestial patterns through mathematical calculations and observation. It was clarified that this “Ring of Fire” eclipse will mainly be visible in Antarctica for a brief duration. The discussion later shifted to astrology, where predictions were shared for zodiac signs like Aries and Taurus, with suggested mantras and remedies.
