Private trains to run on Indian railway tracks soon

The Indian Railways have begun the process of allowing private investors to run their trains among the government ones. The railways have invited Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for passenger train services operation on 109 routes. A total of 112 modern trains will be run by private investors.

An investment of Rs 30,000 crores is expected by the Indian railways
