Nirbhaya Case: SC seeks reply from convicts over Centre's plea on separate execution
SC deferred the hearing to Friday on Centre's plea seeking separate execution of 2012 Nirbhaya case convicts and asked the convicts to file counter replies by Friday on Centre's plea.
SC appointed senior advocate Anjana Prakash as amicus curiae to represent convict Pawan Gupta.Out of the four convicts, Pawan is the only one who has yet not availed of the remedy of either curative or mercy petitions, which will be the last judicial and constitutional resort for him.
