Governments of at least eight states in India have requested the Modi government to extend the duration of lockdown across India after 14 April to ensure that Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is contained. Health Ministry, in a press conference, said that a decision on the extension of lockdown will be taken at an appropriate time.
