Heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir declared state-specific natural calamity
Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared ‘Heavy Snowfall’ as a state-specific natural calamity under the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) norms on Sunday. The Union Territory had been suffering with heavy snowfall for more than two weeks now.
The declaration was made during a virtual meeting with all DCs and SSPs of the Kashmir division to take stock of the administration’s winter management measures
