Breaking: Counting begins across states with heavy security arrangements

Counting for elections has begun across multiple states with tight security and high voter anticipation. In Assam, 40 counting centres are active, where results for 722 candidates will be decided. Security arrangements include multiple layers of barricading, and only verified party representatives are allowed inside. Party workers have already started arriving at centres, showing high enthusiasm as counting is set to begin at 8 AM. In Tamil Nadu, three major counting centres have been set up in Chennai—Loyola College, Queen Mary’s College, and Anna University—covering different regions of the city. Strict security arrangements are in place, and counting at Loyola College is especially significant as it includes key constituencies linked to CM M.K. Stalin and actor-politician Vijay, making it a closely watched political contest. In Kerala, counting is set to begin across 43 centres covering 140 seats. Strong police security is deployed in Thiruvananthapuram, where party workers from LDF, UDF, and NDA are gathered. While all sides await results, UDF workers appear particularly confident. Overall, the atmosphere is highly charged across states, with political tension, heavy security, and nationwide attention as counting begins and early trends are expected soon.
