BREAKING: BJP–TMC Workers Clash in Basirhat Over Party Flag Installation

Fresh political violence has been reported from Basirhat in West Bengal, where clashes broke out between BJP and TMC workers over the installation of a party flag. According to reports, BJP supporters had gathered in the Rajiv Colony area to put up their party flag when TMC workers allegedly arrived at the spot. A heated argument soon escalated into a violent confrontation between the two groups. During the clash, firing was also reported, leading to injuries to a BJP worker. The injured worker was immediately taken to a hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. The incident further highlights the continuing political tension and violence in the state following the elections. Both BJP and TMC workers reportedly came face-to-face during the dispute, creating panic in the locality. Police are expected to investigate the firing incident and determine how the confrontation escalated into violence.
