Cannot direct Centre for law against conversion: SC

It was stated in the plea to the Supreme Court that Court should direct Centre to make a law against illegal conversions. On which the apex court said that State Assemblies and Parliament are responsible for making laws, and the Supreme Court cannot intervene. Now state governments have to look in the matter of making laws against conversions.
