Hyundai Alcazar Review: Improved Turbo Engine and Family-Friendly Features
The Hyundai Alcazar, a popular three-row SUV, recently received a significant update with a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine, first introduced in the new Verna. This engine, producing 160hp and 253Nm with a 7-speed DCT automatic, enhances performance and efficiency compared to the previous 2.0L naturally aspirated unit. During a test drive to Jaipur, the Alcazar showcased its comfort and agility, though the gearbox was slightly jerky at low speeds. It excels in high-speed cruising and maneuverability, offering a smooth, enjoyable drive. Fuel efficiency has improved to about 11 kmpl, and the SUV features a spacious second row, a 360-degree camera, cooled seats, and a panoramic sunroof, though it lacks an electric tailgate.
