The fourth and final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia witnessed some spectacular scenes before the start of the game on Thursday. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese who had come to the venue to witness the first session of the Test match joined the players in singing their respective national anthems.
The two PMs also shared special Test caps with the respective captains of their countries and went for a lap of honour. But the highlight of the event was when Prime Minister Narendra Modi stood with the Indian Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and other players of the team to sing the national anthem.

PM Modi and PM Anthony Albanese were present at the stadium to celebrate 75 years of friendship between India and Australia through cricket, reported PTI
The only thing that proved to be a dampener was the restrictions on the number of people coming to watch the Test match due to the multi-layered security arrangements made for the prime ministers.

Both the dignitaries also took a round of the playing turf on a golf cart that was applauded by thousands of spectators who had come the watch the final Test match clash between Indian and Australia in the world's largest cricket stadium, reported PTI.
The two PMs also visited the 'Hall of Fame museum at the Narendra Modi stadium.
India lead the four match Border-Gavaskar series 2-1. Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and opted to bat in the final Test.
