Delhi Metro: Couple Spit Drink In Each Other's Mouths Inside Coach, Cringe Act Goes Viral

The cringe act by the couple has triggered a debate online, with netizens debating the extent to which couples should be allowed to engage in public displays of affection in public spaces like metro.

Delhi Metro has become the new hub for content creators, with several videos of people shooting dance videos or Instagram reels inside coaches going viral every week. This despite Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) repeatedly issuing warnings prohibiting the recording of videos while travelling in the metro.

However, recently a video of a couple getting intimate onboard a Delhi Metro train has gone viral on social media, leading to backlash from netizens.

In the undated video, a man, kneeling down, can be seen opening a soft drink can and pouring the beverage into the mouth of a woman. The woman, who is seated inside a coach, is then seen spitting out the drink into the man's mouth. The couple then goes on to spit the liquid back and forth between themselves.

The bizarre video ends with the couple engaging in a public display of affection much to the shock of the few passengers who are visible in the background of the video.

The cringe act by the couple has triggered a debate online, with netizens debating the extent to which couples should be allowed to engage in public displays of affection in public spaces like metro.

As the video started to gain traction on the micro-blogging site ‘X,’ one said, "Make the internet expensive again. Make phones expensive again." Another said, "Eating/drinking is strictly prohibited in metros, and this type of cheapo giri will encourage others too."

A third commenter sarcastically wrote, “True Love”. Another user said, “Why should I suffer alone?”, while sharing the video.

In a post on ‘X,’ DMRC stated, "Travel, don’t cause trouble." The message was accompanied by a graphic that urged passengers to "be a passenger in Delhi Metro, not a nuisance". "These should be reported immediately if co-passengers notice such acts," the DMRC said.

This came after several videos of people kissing inside the metro surfaced online, despite the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issuing guidelines to discourage such actions that make other passengers uncomfortable. In March, DMRC imposed a ban on filming inside Delhi metro trains. However, many videos from inside the Delhi Metro coaches continue to appear online.
