Black Panther Appears Outside A House In Tamil Nadu's Coonoor, Video Of Rare Sighting Goes Viral
The footage of a CCTV camera depicted the Black Panther silently entering the premises and effortlessly passing through the main entrance of a residence.
In a remarkable occurrence, a Black Panther was recently seen roaming near a residence in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, sparking curiosity among internet users. There has been a rise in reported sightings of wild animals in and around residential areas due to expanding human populations and the loss of animal habitats. These animals frequently venture into urban areas in search of food or water.
The footage, captured by a CCTV camera, depicted the majestic Black Panther stealthily entering the premises and effortlessly passing through the main entrance of a residence. Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan posted the video on his social media X and commented, "Imagine somebody visiting you like this. Video from a house in Nilgiris. Do you know where else you can find black Panther?"

Internet users were captivated by the uncommon sighting, sparking speculation among locals and wildlife enthusiasts.
One user also commented on the video, "Black Panthers are so elusive. How it's wandering near a human settlement so freely." Another commented, "Absolutely beautiful beast." A third user wrote, "Wow! The species was popularised by author Rudyard Kipling's famous classic 'The Jungle Book' which featured a fictional black panther character named 'Bagheera'. In the book, 'Bagheera' is shown as a friend and protector of the protagonist, a boy named 'Mowgli'.
