Allahabad High Court Jamadar Suspended After Going Viral For Taking Tips Via PayTm From Lawyers

Since the introduction of Digital India, several monetary transactions are being done online. Weather it is a vegetable seller or a shop owner in a posh locality, everybody has adopted the digital mode of payment. But a similar effort by an Allahabad High Court jamadar cost him his job after a photo of the person taking money via PayTm from lawyers inside the court premises went viral on social media platforms.
The Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal suspended him after he found the matter to be serious and recommended action against him.
In the photograph that went viral on the micro-blogging site Twitter, the court employee can be seen with a PayTm QR code tucked under his waist belt. A lawyer was also reportedly seen giving him tip by scanning the code.

The matter was brought in front of the Chief Justice by Justice Ajit Kumar in a letter, after which action was taken.
"Under the order dated 29.11.2022 of Hon’ble the Chief Justice, passed after considering the letter dated 29.11.2022 of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ajit Singh, wherein strict action against the Court Jamadar, Sri Rajendra Kumar-1, Emp. No. 5098, Bundle Lifter, attached with His Lordship, for using Paytm wallet in Court premises has been desired to be taken, Sri Rajendra Kumar-I, Emp. No. 5098, Bundle Lifter, attached as Court Jamadar with His Lordship is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect," the order passed by the Registrar General Ashish Garg states.
However, he would be provided subsistence allowance during the suspension period, added the suspension order.
