WhatsApp Group Admins May Be Able To Control Who Joins Chats: Details
For managing WhatsApp groups, the admins would have to manually turn on the feature to further choose who can enter a particular chat group from a group invite link.
WhatsApp has been introducing new features from time to time to make the platform updated with the latest tools and trends and now, the messaging platform is working to introduce a change to WhatsApp groups where the group admins can limit the members who want to join the group chat via links. According to WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned messaging platform is working to introduce admin approval as an option to WhatsApp group chats.
WhatsApp is rolling out the update through version 2.22.14.6 for beta users. For managing WhatsApp groups, the admins would have to manually turn on the feature to further choose who can enter a particular chat group from a group invite link. The upcoming feature is purportedly called "group membership approval" and would appear under the group settings.
According to the WhatsApp beta tracker, once a WhatsApp group admin turns the feature on, they would get a notification when somebody wants to join the group chat.

Earlier this week, the company started testing the ability to let its users classify consecutive images and videos sent over the chat window on Windows beta. This comes after the automatic albums feature was rolled out for Android and iOS beta. The ability to react to messages is still not available on WhatsApp beta for Windows (UWP version), but the company is now introducing the support for automatic albums, according to WABetaInfo.
