Twitter To Let Verified Organisations Post Jobs To Their Profiles

An official handle named Twitter Hiring with a verified tick has been put in place, but it hasn't posted anything yet.

In a bid to take on Microsoft-owned LinkedIn, Twitter is not working to introduce job listings for verified organisations. Twitter's new feature would enable verified organisations to post job listings directly on their accounts. The feature was hinted at by tech billionaire and owner Elon Musk a couple of weeks ago. An official handle named Twitter Hiring with a verified tick has been put in place, but it hasn't posted anything yet. The feature was first spotted by Nima Owji, an app researcher. Owji revealed the capability and posted: “#Twitter will let verified organizations import all of their jobs to Twitter by connecting a supported ATS or XML feed!”

Notably, LinkedIn, in April had said that it has 10 crore members in India.

According to a report by Search Engine Journal, some verified organisations have started posting job listings on the micro-blogging platform. It is being said that a verified organisation can post up to five job openings on their Twitter profiles.

This development comes at a time when Twitter is battling a surge in hateful and harmful content on the platform. There has also been a steep decline in the number of advertisers on the platform. However, the company CEO Linda Yaccarino has refuted recent reports of a spike in hateful content. According to her, more than 99 per cent of content that users and advertisers see on the micro-blogging platform is "healthy." She also added that only a small amount of content on Twitter needs enforcement.

Earlier last week, Musk revealed that the company's cash flow remains negative due to a significant drop of nearly 50 per cent in advertising revenue and a substantial debt burden. This falls short of Musk's previous expectation in March that Twitter could achieve positive cash flow by June.
