TweetDeck Become X Pro, Asks For Paid Blue Subscription For Access
TweetDeck which was used to manage the micro-blogging platform, has been renamed to X Pro.
Twitter has undergone a number of major changes since tech billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk acquired it. In a latest, TweetDeck which was used to manage the micro-blogging platform, has been renamed to X Pro. The service has also become paywalled as it is asking for paid Blue subscription for access, several users have said, including social media consultant Matt Navarra.
"X has finally killed free access to tweetdeck It’s now officially a Premium subscriber-only tool a sales page for X Premium now pops up when trying to lead Tweetdeck. bad news for social media managers, journalists, and power users," Navarra tweeted from his handle @MattNavarra.
We all knew this was coming as X, formerly Twitter, had announced last month that it would be making TweetDeck (now XPro) a premium subscriber-only feature. However, the company missed the deadline it had set by a few days.
Twitter Support, in a tweet, had announced that "a new improved version" of TweetDeck has been launched. The tool which was previosuly available for free essentially lets users organise the accounts that they follow into different columns to easily monitor content. This is mostly popular with news organisations, social media managers and journalists.
We have just launched a new, improved version of TweetDeck. All users can continue to access their saved searches & workflows via https://t.co/2WwL3hNVR2 by selecting “Try the new TweetDeck” in the bottom left menu.
Some notes on getting started and the future of the product…

This development follows a series of drastic changes under the leadership of Musk, who took over the platform last year. The company has also limited the number of tweets that can be viewed each day for unverified accounts to 600, and new unverified accounts to 300. The verified accounts on X can view up to 6,000 posts.
