Web Version Of Instagram Threads Launching Soon
Social networking giant Meta may soon launch the web version of Instagram Threads, which is a rival to X, formerly Twitter. The company had unveiled Threads only as an app for iOS and Android and a web version was missing. According to company CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the firm is working towards adding the feature and better search functionality. However, a Wall Street Journal report said that “Meta's launch plans aren’t final and could change”, citing its sources.
Pixel 8 Line May Get Revamped Google Camera UI
The upcoming Google Pixel 8 may get a major overhaul in terms of camera redesign. The leaks and rumours have so far suggested that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro may get hardware upgrades as compared to last year's Pixel 7 series. A new report by Android Authority says that this year's Pixel 8 may get a much-needed new camera UI. This is about to change, though, the Android Authority report added, citing an anonymous source inside Google. The revamped Google camera interface would debut on the Pixel 8 series.
Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G Now Available On Amazon India
Available at a price of Rs 14,999, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G with arc interface and 68W fast charger goes on sale on e-commerce site Amazon India starting today. The device was recently announced in India. Tecno had announced its new Tecno Poca 5 and Tecno Pova 5 pro smartphones in India at the company's World of TECNOlogy event. The devices were only showcased in the country earlier. A key highlight of the Pova series is the Pova 5 Pro which has an arc interface with LED interface, similar to the Nothing Phone (2). Both smartphones share a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 256GB onboard storage and Android 13-based HiOS 13.1 OS.
Dr John Warnock, Adobe Co-Founder, Passes Away At 82
Adobe co-founder Dr John Warnock has passed away, the company has said in a statement, says a report by news agency Reuters. Warnock was aged 82. The cause of his death has not been revealed. He had founded tech giant Adobe with his partner late Dr. Charles Geschke in 1982. He is survived by his wife Marva Warnock who also designed the company’s original logo. He served as the company's CEO in 2000 and was chairman of the board, a position he shared with Geschke, until 2017.
Honor Joins Hands With Homegrown PSAV
Handset maker HonorTech has joined hands with Gurgaon-based PSAV Global, to expand its presence in India, the world's second-largest smartphone market. The company recently made an announcement on X, formerly Twitter, that it is set to make a comeback and launch smartphones in India. The company withdrew its operations from India back in 2020 after it got separated from Chinese tech behemoth Huawei. Huawei had sold the brand in November 2020 to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd.
