The upcoming Google Pixel 8 may get a major overhaul in terms of camera redesign.

The upcoming Google Pixel 8 may get a major overhaul in terms of camera redesign. The leaks and rumours have so far suggested that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro may get hardware upgrades as compared to last year's Pixel 7 series. A new report by Android Authority says that this year's Pixel 8 may get a much-needed new camera UI. This is about to change, though, the Android Authority report added, citing an anonymous source inside Google. The revamped Google camera interface would debut on the Pixel 8 series.

Unlike before, the photo and video modes won't be mixed in the carousel anymore and they would be clearly separated into two different modes. of photo and video modes. They were previously mixed in the carousel, but the modes would be clearly separated and this may be the most significant upgrade to the camera UI in the Pixel 8 line. There is going to be a newly added switch right under the mode selection bar. The user would have to categorically select the kind of content they want to shoot first before they select the exact mode they want to use.

Previous leaks say that the Google Pixel 8 series may also get upgrades in terms of fast charging and battery. The Pixel 8 devices are likely to come with bigger batteries and faster charging speeds than last year's Pixel 7 lineup.

Even as wired charging is likely to get a bump, wireless charging on the purported Pixel 8 phones is expected to remain the same. There are smartphone makers such as OnePlus and Oppo that provide insane charging speeds for their phones, but Google still chooses to ship Pixel phones with 23W of wired charging support. Last year's Pixel 7 lineup supports 23W charging speed.
