ReMarkable, a tech company from Norway specialising in digital paper tablets for note-taking, sketching, reading and document review, has ventured into the Indian market. Recognising India's status as one of the rapidly growing consumer technology markets, the company has introduced its reMarkable 2 paper tablet, which is now available on e-commerce platform Amazon.in. Designed specifically for low-latency digital paper displays, the reMarkable 2 operates on Codex, a Linux-based operating system (OS). It supports PDF and EPUB formats. The reMarkable 2 tablet offers two packages on Amazon India: one includes reMarkable 2 with Marker Plus for Rs 43,999 and the other features reMarkable 2, Marker Plus and a gray polymer weave Book Folio for Rs 53,799.
Apple Dissolving Its AI Team
Apple is disbanding its 121-member artificial intelligence operations team in San Diego, potentially putting several employees at risk of termination, according to Mark Gurman's report on Bloomberg. The team, identified as 'Data Operations Annotations,' is undergoing relocation to Austin, where it will integrate with the existing Texas branch. This team plays a key role in developing Siri and handling voice service queries.
Uber Launches E-Auto Rickshaw In Ayodhya
Ride hailing major Uber has launched its electric auto rickshaw service in Ayodhya, which was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The company has also started UberGo, its budget-friendly car service, and Uber Intercity in Ayodhya to facilitate inter-city travel from popular destinations within Uttar Pradesh, connecting the holy city with various locations. Uber has mentioned that its entry into Ayodhya is in line with its expansion strategy in India. Presently, Uber serves in 125 cities.

Microsoft has recently announced that WordPad, which was a longstanding Windows app for over three decades, is slated for removal from upcoming Windows 11 builds. The text editing software, introduced with Windows 95, will no longer come pre-installed on Windows 11 and will be gradually phased out, the media has reported.
