AI Wants To Be Your 'Love Guru': Tinder's 'The Game Game' Can Teach You How To Flirt

Whether you’re charming or cringe-worthy, Tinder's AI offers real-time feedback to help sharpen your conversational skills.

Remember Salman Khan from 'Partner' (or Will Smith from 'Hitch', the Hollywood romcom that David Dhawan ripped 'Partner' off)? The story is darn simple. Khan plays the aptly named love guru, Prem, who helps his client Bhaskar (Govinda, or Kevin James from the American counterpart) woo someone miles out of his league. Now, AI seems to have taken up Prem's mantle and has decided to turn love guru of sorts, by testing your flirting game and then helping you win over your possible 'significant other'.

Tinder has rolled out a brand-new AI-driven chat feature called The Game Game, designed to help users refine their flirting skills in a fun, pressure-free environment. This interactive tool puts singles through quirky, simulated dating scenarios, allowing them to test out pickup lines and conversation techniques without the fear of real-world rejection.

Can AI Really Teach You to Flirt?

Flirting can be tricky, but Tinder believes artificial intelligence might just be the ultimate wingman. With The Game Game, users can practice chatting in simulated dating situations while an AI coach rates their performance. Whether you’re charming or cringeworthy, this tool offers real-time feedback to help sharpen your conversational skills.

According to Tinder’s Future of Dating Report, 64% of young singles don’t mind a bit of awkwardness in dating, as long as it feels authentic. This AI-powered feature embraces that sentiment, encouraging users to have fun and improve their approach without the fear of judgment.

“This project lets us use AI to make dating feel less stressful and more fun,” said Alex Osborne, Sr. Director of Product Innovation at Match Group. “We wanted something lighthearted but also useful.”

How It Works

The process is simple:

  • Open the Tinder app and tap the logo to access the feature.
  • Select from a range of amusing, AI-generated dating scenarios.
  • Respond using voice input and let the AI assess your charm.
  • Earn up to three flames for your performance — or face a friendly AI roast if things go awry.
  • Receive personalised feedback on how to improve your flirting game.

No Ghosting, Just Growth

Unlike real dating, this AI won’t ghost you for a bad joke — though it might call you out on it. Whether you ace the conversation or stumble through it, The Game Game ensures a learning experience without real-world stakes.

Currently, the feature is available exclusively for iOS users in the US, but given its potential, Tinder may expand AI-assisted flirting to a wider audience. For now, it’s a chance to practice pick-up lines and witty banter without the pressure — because when it comes to dating, practice makes perfect.
