How To Add Music To Instagram Post: Way 1

  • Open Your Instagram app and click the +.
  • Add the desired photo/video that you wish to post and click on ‘Next’.
  • Now click on the ‘Music Icon’ in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Scroll through your ‘For You’ songs, ‘Browse’ music, choose from your ‘Saved Music’, or choose to ‘Search Music’.
  • Choose the desired piece of music or song.
  • Select which portion of the song or music you want to be played in the post by sliding the colourful bar below. Choose the duration for the music.
  • Once completed, click on done, add a caption if you want or any other information you wish to include like location, tags, audience, etc. Finally, click on ‘Post’.

How To Add Music To Instagram Post: Way 2

  • Open the Instagram app.
  • Select the desired image/video and continue through the posting process.
  • Hit next and head to the caption portion.
  • You will see ‘Add Music’ there.
  • You may ‘Search Music’ or look through ‘For You’, ‘Browse’, or your ‘Saved’ songs.
  • Select the desired song, choose the duration and portion of the song you want. 
  • Click on ‘Post’ and you're done.
