OnePlus 12 Price Leaked Ahead Of Launch, May Be Pricier Than OnePlus 11

The global launch of both OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R is set to take place at the 'Smooth Beyond Belief' event on January 23.

The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are slated to launch in India and worldwide on January 23. Ahead of the official reveal, pricing information for the devices in the US has surfaced online. Said to be a flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12 might be priced higher than its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, which was slaunched at the company's 'Cloud 11' event. However, the OnePlus 12R is said to offer to be launched at a budget-friendly price point.

According to a report by TechPlus, (in German), the OnePlus 12R is expected to start at a price of $499 (approximately Rs 35,000) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB memory. The higher-tier variant, featuring 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, is said to be priced at $599 (roughly Rs 42,000). Notably, the OnePlus 12 has already been launched in China, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 5,400mAh battery supported by 100W wired SuperVOOC charging.

OnePlus 12R To Be Launched In 2 Colours

Handset maker OnePlus has already officially revealed the first image of the OnePlus 12R, the second model of the OnePlus 12 series, the first OnePlus R Series device to launch in global markets. The device has been shown in Cool Blue and Iron Gray colourways, which is a departure from its predecessor, OnePlus 11R which did not get a blue colour variant.

The OnePlus 12R Cool Blue model has a glossy finish with a light, fresh appearance, while Iron Gray has a matte feel to give a sophisticated and strong feeling, as per the handset maker.

The handset maker has also confirmed that the OnePlus 12R will get the "biggest battery ever". OnePlus has used a fourth-generation LTPO 120Hz ProXDR display for the OnePlus 12R. However, the company is keeping mum on the screen size. Some leaks and rumours hint at a sizeable 6.78-inch panel. The inclusion of LTPO technology is pivotal, offering an adaptive refresh rate to enhance battery efficiency -- a trend observed in top Android smartphone models.
