PUB-G Alternate FAU-G Surges Past 4 Million Pre-Registration Ahead Of Jan 26 Launch

The company has expressed confidence that FAU-G will cross five million registrations and boasted that no other game (at least in India) has attained such gigantic feat.

New Delhi: FAU-G (also known as The Fearless and United Guards) has touched a milestone by crossing as many as four million pre-registration mark on Google Play ahead of its official release, the company has recently said. The multi-player game was first announced by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar soon after much-popular game PUBG Mobile was banned in India. The new PUBG alternative has been announced by the developer nCore Games and will be developed under the mentorship of Kumar.

Vishal Gondal, co-founder and chairman of nCore Games, told IGN India earlier that FAU-G has garnered over four million pre-registrations. The game went for pre-registrations in late November after a series of delays and change in its launch date schedule for January 26.  FAU-G is also expected to make its way to iPhone and iPad users at the time of its formal launch next week.

FAU-G surpassed a million pre-registrations in the first 24 hours of its debut on Google Play store. However, it took over a month and a half to cross the four million mark. During his interaction, Gondal expressed confidence that FAU-G will cross five million registrations and boasted that no other game (at least in India) has attained such gigantic feat.

Announced a couple of days after the PUBG Mobile ban in India in September, FAU-G is designed as an online multiplayer game set in Galway Valley. The game is arriving for Android devices as well as the iPhone and iPad models on January 26. However, the pre-registrations are limited to Google Play as FAU-G is yet to debut on the App Store.

Co-founder and COO of nCore Games, Ganesh Hande, told IGN India that Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been a part of FAU-G and has also suggested the presence of a dog in the game, however, the game will not come with an animal character during initial launch and could be added in further updates.

The action game PUBG was banned by the Government of India on September 2 and it has been pulled out from both Google Play Store and Apple App Store in India following the directive from the Indian government. It was banned on an order by the Ministry of Information and Technology (MeitY), which also banned 117 other popular apps from China over national security concerns.

The PUBG game, which has more than 600 million downloads and 50 million active players globally, has millions of users, especially young, in India.
