FAU-G All Set To Launch On Republic Day - Here Are 5 Things To Know About The Game

With uncertainty around PUB-G's comeback, FAU-G is set to have a very smooth launch on Republic Day 2021. Here are 5 aspects to know about the upcoming game.

New Delhi: The much-hyped Indian game ‘Fearless And United Guards, also known as, FAU-G is all set to launch on Republic Day, January 26. Developed by nCORE video games, it is touted to be India’s answer to the popular mobile game ‘PUBG’. ALSO READ | Govt Directs WhatsApp To Withdraw New Privacy Policy, Calls Out 'Discriminatory Treatment To Indian Users'

While PUBG’s arrival was also widely-talked about after the announcement of its India subsidiary, it is reportedly yet to get the required approval, giving FAU-G a comfortable space to be an alternative for the massive Indian userbase.

Here are 5 aspects to know about FAU-G ahead of its release:

  1. Not The Same As PUBG Mobile

FAU-G was announced soon after the ban on PUBG Mobile in India and led to people speculating if it will be a close clone of the latter. However, nCore video games founder Vishal Gondal had confirmed in an earlier interview with Indian Express it shouldn’t be in contrast to PUBG Mobile as the game was being worked on for quite a while.

  1. Episode 1 Most Probably Set In Ladakh

A teaser released by nCORE Games recently begins in the snow-shrouded LAC at Ladakh where a soldier can be seen combatting another, a strong voiceover in Punjabi translates to “Do not even step on my land”. So as per this promo, the game is likely to be set in LAC, to begin with.

Perhaps China’s intrusion and uncalled-for activities at LAC in real can be seen as a reference here. It shows Indian army officers in a faceoff with enemy forces along with a rousing anthem.

  1. Multiplayer Mode Available Sans Battle Royale

The popular game style of Battle Royale where many users are put together randomly in the gameplay area and must fight for their survival has been made popular by games like PUBG Mobile, Fortnite and Call of Duty Mobile. However, FAU-G will not follow this design – it will have linear missions and segments that will unfold through the narrative. The game will have a multiplayer mode.

  1. A Lot Of Close Combat, Hand Weapons

As per early predictions based on the promos, it is being believed that FAUG will see a lot of hand-to-hand combat and hand weapons for the same. Rifles and other such artillery can also be seen but perhaps with a great share of close combat.

  1. Pre-Registration

Interested gamers can pre-register to get the earliest access to the game when it arrives on the Play Store. The link was been shared by developers last year and more than a million players are claimed to have registered in the first 24 hours of the announcement.
