Bill Gates Reportedly Dating Widow Of Oracle CEO. Know All About Paula Hurd

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates appears to have found love again — if recent media reports are to be believed. The world’s fourth richest man is reportedly dating the widow of Oracle CEO Mark Hurd. Gates was formerly married to Melinda Gates, and the couple announced their divorce in May 2021, bringing their nearly three-decade-long marriage to an end. 

Both Gates and Hurd appear to be tennis fans, as the two were spotted at the Australian Open Men’s Single Finals in January this year. Even before that, the couple was seen at several tennis events, including the 2022 Laver Cup and the 2021 BNP Paribas Open.

Who is Paula Hurd?

A business administration graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, Hurd was married to Oracle CEO Mark Hurd for nearly three decades, who passed away in October 2019. She has two daughters, Kathryn and Kelly. 

A philanthropist, Hurd is also an event organiser, or rather a “developer and organizer of memorable mid- and large-scale event experiences for personal, corporate, and charitable occasions,” as per her LinkedIn profile. She began her career as a sales and alliance manager at US software firm NCR Corporation in 1984. In 2011, she joined CLUB 127 as a consultant. In 2019, she became a portfolio manager at Hurd Family Investments. She is currently a part-time portfolio manager as well as a community volunteer at MPH Investments. 

She is also a member of the Board of Regents at Baylor University in Texas. 

As per a “friend” of the couple, as quoted by Daily Mail, Gates and Hurd appear to be “inseparable”. However, a report by People, citing a source, suggests that “she hasn’t met his kids yet.” Gates has two daughters, Phoebe and Jennifer, and a son, Rory, from his marriage with Melinda.

As per the friend quoted by Daily Mail, Gates and Hurd have “been together over a year and she's always described as a ‘mystery woman,’ but it's no mystery to their inner circle that they're in a romantic relationship.”
