Eye Control, Spatial Widgets & Smarter Personas: Top Features Of Apple's visionOS 26

With visionOS 26, Apple is turning Vision Pro into a more fluid, interactive, and deeply personal computing experience that blends your physical and digital worlds like never before.

WWDC25: Apple has officially lifted the veil on visionOS 26 — a major update to its spatial computing platform that powers the Vision Pro headset. With this release, Apple is bringing a wave of upgrades that blend immersive computing with real-world utility, pushing the boundaries of what spatial operating systems can do.

Here’s a look at the top features that define visionOS 26 and how they’re set to change the way users interact with their environment, apps, and each other.

1. Spatial Widgets: Personalised Info, All Around You

Apple is taking widgets to the next dimension — literally. With visionOS 26, widgets now float in your physical space, appearing whenever you wear the Vision Pro. They’re fully customisable, letting users tweak frame width, colour, and depth. Whether it’s checking the weather, controlling music, or glancing at the time, widgets like Clock, Weather, Music, and Photos now feel more alive and accessible.

“Apple Vision Pro has defined what’s possible in this new era of spatial computing, and with visionOS 26, we’re excited to push the boundaries even further,” said Mike Rockwell, Apple’s vice president of the Vision Products Group.

2. Eye-Powered Browsing with ‘Look to Scroll’

One of the most futuristic additions is ‘Look to Scroll’, allowing users to navigate through apps and web pages using just their eyes. Scroll speed can be adjusted to personal preferences, and developers can bake this feature into their apps, offering a hands-free navigation experience that’s as intuitive as it is sci-fi.

3. Enhanced Personas & Shared Spatial Experiences

visionOS 26 introduces big upgrades to Personas — Apple’s digital avatars — making them feel more lifelike and expressive. For users sharing the same physical space, the new update also enables richer shared spatial experiences, making collaboration, content viewing, and communication more seamless.

“With brand-new ways for Vision Pro owners to connect, explore, work together, and enjoy content, we’re incredibly excited for users to enjoy features like apps and widgets that they can arrange in their spaces, spatial scenes that offer a brand-new viewing experience for their photos, and dramatically enhanced Personas on Vision Pro,” Rockwell added.

Other Noteworthy Upgrades

  • Image Playground Updates: Apple Intelligence-powered enhancements arrive in Vision Pro, adding generative AI to photo scenes for immersive visual depth.
  • Wider Language Support: French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish are now supported, alongside expanded English support in India, Singapore, Canada, and other regions.
  • Control Center Revamp: A redesigned interface makes it easier to toggle Guest User, Focus, Travel Mode, Mac Virtual Display, and more — all in one place.
  • iPhone Unlock & Call Relay: Users can now unlock their Face ID-enabled iPhones while immersed in an Environment. Calls can also be answered directly on the Vision Pro or initiated from People View.

Developer Access Now Open

visionOS 26 is now available for developer testing via the Apple Developer Program. Apple Intelligence features require compatible hardware and software, with some functionalities limited by region or language.

With visionOS 26, Apple isn’t just polishing the Vision Pro — it's turning it into a more fluid, interactive, and deeply personal computing experience that blends your physical and digital worlds like never before.
