No Two-Finger Test Was Done On Woman IAF Officer: Air Chief Marshal
The statement comes after a 28-year-old woman alleged that she was raped by a Lieutenant of the Air Force after giving her a drink laced with drugs
Chennai: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari denied charges that a two-finger test was done on a woman IAF officer from Coimbatore, who named a Lieutenant of sexually abusing her in IAF campus. The Air Chief Marshal said on Tuesday that all disciplinary action will be taken based on a report of inquiry.
The PTI quoted the Air Chief Marshal as saying, "No two finger test was done...Disciplinary action will be taken based on the report of inquiry."
The statement comes after a 28-year-old woman alleged that she was raped by a Lieutenant of the Air Force after giving her a drink laced with drugs. Further, she alleged that she faced threats and intimidations and was once told to give it in writing that she gave consent to the crime committed by the Lieutenant.
She also accused that the Air Force did not act on the complaint and that forced her to give a complaint at a police station. In the FIR, she charged that she was subjected to a banned two-finger test to confirm the rape. She also alleged that the hospital falsely informed her that her swab sample tested negative but only later she found out that the samples were not sent at all.
