UP: 5 Killed, 4 Injured After Car Crashed Into Parked Bus In Hardoi

Five individuals were killed after a Bolero car crashed with a bus at the Gorai intersection in the Mallawan police station area in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district early Monday. The incident occurred around 3 am when a speeding Bolero, returning from a wedding, collided with a private bus, also carrying wedding party members, parked at the intersection.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portion of the Bolero was completely crushed.
According to an IANS report, upon receiving the information the local police rushed to the site and conducted a rescue operation. The injured people were rushed to the nearest hospital.
Additional Superintendent of Police, East, Nripendra Kumar, said the Bolero appeared to have lost control before hitting the stationary bus. "Five people have died in the collision. Four injured persons were rushed to Lucknow for immediate treatment. All the passengers on the bus have got minor injuries, but none have sustained critical injuries," the ASP informed. A case has been registered based on the complaint of the victims' families, and an investigation is underway.

Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath instructed district officials and make sure the injured people received proper medical care and wished the patients a speedy recovery. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to expedite relief and rescue operations at the site and provide all necessary support to the victims' families.
CM Yogi expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
The police have assured that the investigation will be thorough, and steps will be taken to prevent it in the future. Major accidents like these become common during winters, due to the fog on the roads that resulted in poor visibility.
