4 People Burnt Alive After Tanker-Truck Collision In Rajasthan's Ajmer
Fire engines arrived at the spot as soon as the incident was reported, and firefighters started working to douse the flame.
Four people were killed in a collision between a gas tanker and a truck on the National Highway in Rajasthan's Ajmer district on Thursday night. According to the police, both vehicles caught fire after the crash leading to the scorching of four people alive, reported news agency ANI.
Two other vehicles passing by also caught fire after the petroleum product in the tanker spewed due to the crash. A few houses and shops that were close to the site of the incident also caught fire. "Four persons were burnt alive and another was injured in the accident. Neighbouring shops and residences also caught fire," Ajmer Superintendent of Police Chunaram Jat said.
The road was blocked after the tanker and trailer caught fire and a large crowd gathered at the scene. Fire engines arrived at the spot as soon as the incident was reported, and firefighters started working to douse the fire, reported the news agency.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Mridul Singh, Sadar Circle Inspector Chenaram Beda, and Circle Officer Masooda Ishwar Singh Yadav reached the spot and took charge of the situation.
Ajmer Collector Anshdeep and District Superintendent of Police Chunaram Jat also arrived at the scene following the fire incident and started an inspection.

SP Chunaram Jat said that the fire was put out late last evening, and the route is now once again open to travel. He stated that police teams are evaluating the loss and identifying the dead.
