WPL Auction 2023: Top Players To Watch Out For In Women's Premier League 2023 Auction

WPL Auction 2023: Five franchises will bid for a maximum of 90 players in WPL 2023 auction. Each franchise will have to bid successfully for a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 18 players.

WPL 2023 Auction: The players' auction for the first season of the Women's Premier League (WPL) will be held in Mumbai on Monday, 13th February. 409 players from India and abroad will participate in Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 auction. Five franchises will bid for a maximum of 90 players in WPL 2023 auction.

Each franchise will have to bid successfully for a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 18 players. Every team will have 12 crores each in their purse. Let's have a look at the top players to watch out for in WPL auction.

Harmanpreet Kaur: Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur may have turned 33 but she continues to score runs with consistency. The star batter has scored a T20 ton and is close to scoring 3000 runs in T20 Internationals. In the shortest format, her batting average is 28.26.

Shafali Verma: Safali Verma recently won the T20 World Cup as captain of the Indian Under-19 women's team. The 19-year-old has played 51 T20Is for India and scored 1231 runs at an average of 24.62 with strike rate of 134.53. Shafali is at number 8 in the T20I rankings for women batters.

Smriti Mandhana: Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has been the most important player of Team India for the last few years and has played some match-winning knocks for her team. At present, she is at number three in the ICC T20I rankings for women batters. It is highly likely that Mandhana becomes the most expensive player in the WPL auction.

Tahila McGrath: The Australian all-rounder currently holds the top spot in the Women's T20 International rankings for women batters. In the last one year, she has not only wreaked havoc with the bat, but has also taken important wickets with her bowling on many occasions. McGrath for sure will cause a bidding war in WPL Auction 2023.

Deepti Sharma: The star all-rounder of the Indian team is currently third in the T20 International rankings for women bowlers and second in the rankings for all-rounders. There is nothing that Deepti can't do and her remarkable all-round abilities make her a valuable asset for any team.

Beth Mooney: Australia's legendary cricketer Beth Mooney will most certainly fetch crores in WPL 2023 auction. She is present at number-2 in the ICC T20 International rankings for women batters and is popularly known for playing fast-paced innings.
