T20 World Cup 2022: Final To Be Played At MCG, Know Full Schedule

The final of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). A total of 45 matches will be played in the tournament.

New Delhi: ICC has announced in which cities the matches of the T20 World Cup will be played in Australia next year. ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 will be played in seven Australian cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Australia will host the ICC Men's T20 World Cup from October 16 to November 13, next year. The other two cities where the tournament matches will be played include Geelong and Hobart. As per reports, the matches of the first round will be played in these cities.

In which ground will the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 final be played?

The final of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). According to International Cricket Council (ICC), 45 matches will be played in the tournament. These matches will be hosted by Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

"We are looking forward to seeing the return of ICC events to Australia and are delighted to announce the seven host cities for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. Following the success of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2020 and a two year postponement, our sights are now firmly set on planning for the 2022 event in collaboration with the LOC," Head of Events, Chris Tetley said in an ICC release.

"With 12 teams already confirmed in the line-up, we eagerly await the culmination of the qualification process to see which other teams will join them," Tetley added.

The matches of both the semi-finals will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground and Oval Ground in Adelaide. The first semi-final will be played on November 9 at the Sydney Cricket Ground while the second semi-final will be played on November 10 at the Oval Ground.

Countries whose teams have directly qualified for Super 12 include defending T20 champions Australia and runners-up New Zealand. Apart from these two countries, the teams of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan and South Africa have secured a spot in Super 12.
