No one suffered injuries in the accident. However, the car was damaged.

Sourav Ganguly Accident: Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly had a narrow escape after his car crashed into a speeding lorry on Durgapur Expressway on Thursday. He was going to attend a University programme in Burdwan when his car crashed.

Ganguly had to wait on the road for about 10 minutes before proceeding to the event. No one suffered injuries in the accident but two vehicles in his convoy were damaged.

Later, Ganguly attended the programme organised at Burdwan University and interacted with students.

"I am overwhelmed. It feels great to be in Burdwan. I am even more happy that you invited me. BDS (Burdwan Sports Association) asked me to come for a long time. It feels great to be here today. CAB has been working with the Burdwan sports organization for 50 years. Many players have emerged from the district. We will have to recruit players from the district in the same way in the future as well," he said.
