Rafael Nadal is a legend of the sport and is adored worldwide (which he has been his entire career). The 2022 Australian Open winner was currently participating in ATP Tour in Brisbane but has pulled out of the Australian Open 2024 due to long-standing issue of muscle tear injury. The Spaniard informed regarding this via X (formerly Twitter) and also mentioned the nature of the injury, and that he will be heading back to Spain for further treatment.

Rafael last played in 2023 Australian Open, where the wobbling 37-year old was eliminated in the second round by Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets at the Rod Laver Arena.
